2021 makes 71 Years of Watch Lake Lodge!

Watch Lake Lodge and Guest Ranch is a working ranch located in the South Cariboo, in British Columbia, Canada.

The Horn family has owned and operated Watch Lake Lodge since 1950 and still carry on their friendly family ways today. Generations of families have enjoyed their stay at Watch Lake Lodge and many have formed very special friendships with each other at their "home away from home!"

Watch Lake Lodge incorporates 12 rustic cabins, 8 sites for tents, trailers, and campers, a safe swimming area, row boats, and a small convenience store. Watch Lake is known for it's excellent Rainbow Trout fishing. All of this adds up to make for a very unique vacation experience where you draw your own water and chop your own fire wood.

The most popular attraction is the horses and the most popular activity is the trail riding. They offer two well supervised rides daily except on Sunday's. On Thursday they feature an adult ride for camp guests only, and on Saturday there is a picnic lunch ride where riders and non-riders meet at the lodge picnic site for lunch.

Wednesday is "Cowpoke Day" when a small number of riders can join Dimps checking and/or moving their cow herd. Lunch is supplied and this ride is an all day ride - which will likely include a Cattle Drive!

Everyone gets individual attention before each ride starts so that they can meet the horse they will be riding and to make sure they are comfortable in their saddle and have no concerns. The rides are "fun for the whole family".

Cowboy Ride Day could include a Cattle Drive
